Do you ever laugh until your eyes hurt and donkey snorts come out of your nose? I don't (well, not often) and I certainly haven't laughed like that since this lovely lockdown began. That is, not until I spent a long Sunday morning chatting to the hilarious Estee Stimler. Estee came recommended to me by a couple of my current clients and (lucky for me) those clients also recommended me to Estee.
It's difficult knowing where to begin talking about Estee - mainly because she's a bit of a creative whirlwind and has rather a lot of projects on the go. I'm beginning to think she may also have magical powers as I'm convinced she's discovered a way to double (at least) the number of hours in a day. A true New Yorker, Estee talks fast and works faster. She's a lyricist/bookwriter with four projects in development at present ranging from an animated movie, a one-woman musical, an immersive play and a feminist adaptation of The Winter's Tale - and those are just the four projects I'm allowed to talk about.
Estee's most recent project, A Change of Heart, ran at The Other Palace in March just before lockdown. You're going to be hearing a lot more from Estee in the years to come and I'm very excited to welcome her creativity to the company.
