Max and I have worked together on and off for about four years now. He's tall, dashing, and debonair, and my Mum thinks he looks a bit like Nigel Havers back in the day.
Just before Covid locked down all the theatres, Max was playing one of his bucket list roles - The Actor in Woman in Black in the West End. He'll be returning as soon as he can (hopefully won't have forgotten all those lines!) but until then he's been keeping himself busy with his own theatre company, Scoot Theatre.
2020 has seen the newly formed Scoot tour cricket grounds in the UK with a cricket inspired Midsummer Night's Dream and great reviews in The Guardian, a concert of West End showtunes, and next up an adaptation written and directed by Max, of Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
Max is ridiculously talented and you should expect big things from Scoot Theatre, even after Max returns to the West End. He's currently working on a number of adaptations of classic texts and can also be seen in Downton Abbey and the upcoming feature Dream Horse opposite Toni Collette.
He sends wickedly funny WhatsApp messages at all hours of the day and night too.
