Vaneeka Dadhria

Vaneeka and I first met for just ten minutes in a chilly drama studio in Twickenham at St. Mary's University. In just ten minutes I was completely blown away by what a unique, original and fresh talent she was and I knew I wanted to represent her. In addition to being a fearless actress, she's a writer, a designer, a musician and a golfer. Her outlook on life, her personality, her talent and her utter confidence in who she was would, I knew, take her far.

Just a few months later she was sharing a stage with James McAvoy in the West End production of Cyrano de Bergerac making both her professional and West End debut at the same time. What a journey that was! The Guardian commented on her "magnificent beatboxing – gulping, pulsing, hissing, ticking" as she, literally, provided a soundtrack to the production that was the beating heart of the show. We are thrilled that Vaneeka has returned to Cyrano for the London, Glasgow and New York runs.

Since then she's impressed casting directors with her self-tapes and natural on-screen presence while also teaching beatboxing workshops over Zoom.

Our Whatsapp messages are basically the two of us laughing at each other and her giggle is one of the most infectious sounds on the planet. A simple chat with Vaneeka can send me over the edge and have me crying tears of joy. She is, truly, an absolute delight and I am so excited for the rest of her journey.
